The light at the end of the tunnel
After living almost a week in a mess that only vaguely resembled an inhabitable area once called a 'room', I finally got my rear-end up and cleaned it up; incredibly enough, there still was a floor, and I even found that carpet I bought some 2 months ago (guess what: it was well-hidden on the bottom!). It actually feels like a place where I want to spend time in again, so everything's set now for reading up on early and modern asian history in order to pass my exams at the end of this semester.

My birthday (May 3rd) was fun, including some well-spent Euro in a cocktail bar with a bunch of mates from uni. Got some cool gifts too - couple of Wolverine comics I didn't have yet (seems my comic habit is well known even here) and a really cool calligraphic painting for which I'll have to find a spot in my room now - and had a great day, despite the well-known turn from sunny/warm to rainy/cold weather, just like every time in the past 6 or so years; getting used to that by now...

Good friend of mine's starting to work at the same pub, helped her get into that tonight and had a fun night working with her. And now it's about damned time I got to bed.

Built-in timer now set to: 2y 25d
My laptop turned 2 years old on APR 7th. That's also the day the guarantee ended.
Tonight it showed me the latest feature of Fujitsu-Siemens products: yellow-turning screen with built-in stroboscope effect; could've been an earthquake simulation as well, I'm not sure, but it's definately broken. I still have to pay it off for another year though. Great.

...the day started so nice, with sunny weather and 28+°C...
