EvacOp
So we're having EvacOp drill at the moment. Checkpoints, roadblocks, ID and car checks, the whole thing. And that's been only 2 days of the past week, with night recon (and new night-vision goggles for everyone! Awesome!!) between those two days, a day when we went shooting before 'em .. it's been quite a week of stress. But since it's been fun just the same, I'm rather okay-ish with the stress, and this weekend I actually got quite a load of (well-deserved and very, very necessary) sleep, so I'm fine.
Unfortunately, due to the lots of drill and training and me being rather short of money at the moment (have to think trice before going to the local internet cafe), my reports have become a bit rare, but I'll try to make up for it once my holidays start, which is only 2 weeks from now! Can't wait for 'em to start, actually, and for good reasons: Canada, Denmark, lotsa fun ahead and I'll finally meet Rosa! Not to mention that the week in Denmark is destined to rock, with all the people that'll come along! Best-friends-only-holidays are just the greatest thing in the world...!

Anyways. I'll have to make a break here already again, duty calls and I'm supposed to leave in about half an hour and still gotta pack stuff like my laptop and check again if I didn't forget something I might need next week, when EvacOp continues.

Thanks to the readers and commentators, it's always a pleasure to get some sort of feedback! Back to you in a week most likely.

Weekend .. finally!
I'm awake since Thursday night 1900. That's 32 hours and counting. Fortunately it won't be much longer until I finally get my well-deserved sleep, as I'm planning to go to bed within the next 30 minutes. Just had to clear some details regarding my Canada-plans - which are working out after all, even though I have to pay more than I had originally planned - and wanted to blog once again.
Last night the 3rd Company decided it'd be major fun to get themselves wasted. All of them, including the chief. After they had managed that, they decided it would be fun to go take the piss outta the people standing guard. Unfortunately, that included me, which is the reason for my current insomnia, as I had to keep walking through the base and checking for rogue drunks and hooliganized superiours. You can't even begin to imagine how fucked up my night was! In the end, Military Police intervened after we called them, I'm eager to see what'll happen to those bunch of undisciplined drunks...!

Ah well. I arrived safely at home, got my stuff done, took the needed shower and off I went again, to party a bit. It was fun, but I think I drank too much (heh), still feeling a bit dizzy, and it's already 2 hours since my last beer. Anyways. The evening was fun, even more so because I'll take that damned flight to Canada and get myself some holiday! Even if it means I'll have to postpone my tatoo. Oh well, that can wait a bit more I guess.

Wise words of the day
"Being defeated is often a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent."

I'll be back
Well.
Here I am again. 2 weeks of shooting, throwing grenades and generally pretending to be at war with any piece of wood that roughly had the shape of a tank or soldier, I'm glad to be back to the civilized parts of the world and to actually get a nice and warm shower every once in a while...

Anyways, with my return, all the old and well-known misery came back too: my plans to go to Canada for a week or a bit more are that close to dissolving into mist thanks to insanely high prices for flight-only travel, my plan to go to a net-community meeting today have been reduced to a 30 minute-stay at best because I lost track of my weekend plans and now face a prom tonight which I'm somewhat required and expected to attend (and which I don't want to miss, too!) ... oh well, what else if not chaos that follows my every step?!
